The Story of Limoo, Mr. Abutalebi, Erfan, and Me

After Dadsun, becoming a product designer at Limoo was one of my options. After three interviews, I received a final offer from them, but I decided to join Arman instead. Two weeks later, Mr. Abutalebi (CEO of Limoo) called me and asked for my help in finding a suitable product designer for them. This was because Erfan was unable to continue with them and had recommended me as an eligible candidate to assist in the process.

Phase 1: Screening Resumes and Conducting Job Interviews

I reviewed 30 different resumes to determine which candidates were eligible for the position. I created a Notion list for each candidate, noting my thoughts on whether they were qualified for an interview. I conducted 12 interviews, assigning each candidate a score from 1 to 10 based on their UI and UX skills. It was also important to assess their motivation and openness to improvement. Communication skills were another key factor for me. In the end, we found a junior product designer who was highly motivated and eager to grow. Mr. Abutalebi liked her as well, and they reached a final agreement.

Phase 2: Onboarding and the New Designer's Warm-Up

Her knowledge was sufficient, but she lacked experience. In the beginning, we had two meetings per week where I helped her get onboarded and provided tips on Figma to help her work more efficiently. Meanwhile, we held meetings with Erfan, the new designer, Mr. Abutalebi, and me to discuss various aspects of Limoo, identify areas for improvement, align our mindsets, and set weekly goals. The result was a product redesign that was easy to apply and more practical and user-friendly.

Phase 3: Landing Page Redesign

At this stage, one of the key factors for Limoo was to present themselves as a mature start-up to founders and attract more companies and industries to use Limoo. In this context, the landing pages were the most important channel for making a good impression. That’s why Mr. Abutalebi asked me to design the landing pages as a freelancer. We completed the project in two weeks, and here you can find more information about the project:
